The real eye catchers now are the dogwoods. The east coast dogwood [Cornus florida] is at its peak for blooms! Cloud 9, a white selection, and Cherokee Brave, a pink selection, are covered in blooms all around the nursery.
The dogwood section seems to expand this time of year as we move dogwoods so people can enjoy their full magnificence. There are groupings of dogwoods at every twist and turn of the paths at Wildwood.
This is one of the few times where the West Coast is ahead of the East Coast It will probably be at least another four weeks before those folks can even think about a dogwood bloom!
