Until the middle part of last century, the Wildwood Nursery property was a working dairy.
There are many relics from that era on the property. The coolest one is a nine foot tall, twelve foot wide circular redwood water tank. The dairymen pumped water from the Kenwood Marsh into it for summer storage. It currently sits at the top of the property in its original position.
That could change this summer. We are beginning exploratory work to raise the tank and move it a more visible location. Next week, we will insert 6" x 6" x 13' steel beams under the tank. These beams will support the tank as we carefully lift it!
