Fire Prevention

Hot, smoky conditions smothered Sonoma County all of last week.  The culprit - massive fires in the counties to the north and small scary flare ups in our own county.

For residents in fire prone areas, prevention is a mantra.  Judicious clearing and careful pruning of important focal points can create a landscape that is beautiful and safe.  The photo shows Oaks with their structure highlighted after careful pruning by Wildwood atop Adobe Canyon Rd.

Opening up sightlines and clearing away fuel can be a symbiotic approach that pleases the fire chief and the eye!
