Both plants and people can be shade lovers.  They can also be sun worshippers.

Smart shade lovers work in the springtime and cool of the morning.  When the mercury spikes, they retreat to an arbor or umbrella to enjoy the view.  Iced tea tastes better while taking in the sights and sounds of a garden.
